Director of Product Design
Leading design for Core Experiences (CoreX), the platform foundation for Gusto's two-sided SMB product. I own the systems that help employers manage their business and employees manage their work: admin tools, workflows, permissions, communications, and onboarding. Design peer in platform leadership alongside VP Product and Sr. Director Engineering.
Built the Comms governance framework (Whisper/Speak/Shout) with decision logic for calibrating tone across channels, and shipped it to an 85-person design org. Created a custom GPT for self-serve email review, shifting from 1:1 design review to scalable infrastructure. Lead mobile strategy for both employer and employee apps.
Prototype daily with Claude, Cursor, and Figma AI; push PRs to production.
Senior Product Design Manager
Led design for seller platform experiences in a two-sided marketplace. Managed a team of 8 designers building the tools sellers use to manage inventory, shipping, payments, and compliance.
Overhauled the design hiring loop and built an onboarding program from scratch, increasing designer satisfaction by 25% and scaling the approach across the entire Product organization. Trained managers and ICs on human-centered interviewing.
