I'm Jess. I lead product design at Gusto, where I work on platform teams navigating AI transformation.
I started my career as a front-end developer, building responsive websites. Somewhere along the way I realized I was more interested in the people using the things than the things themselves, and I moved into design, then into leading designers.
That technical foundation never left. I haven't fully left the editor, and I still think in systems. I'm the kind of leader who's as likely to be in Figma as in a strategy doc. Hands in the work, always.
When I'm not at a screen, I'm usually at a wheel. I make ceramics, badly and then slightly less badly.
