About Me

I am a heart-centered, empathetic leader that focuses on cultivating environments that allow for people to do their best work. I use a coaching style of management and take the stance of a strategic thinking partner with my team. I fiercely believe in the power of partnerships and teams.

I am a problem-solver by nature and have done some of my best work by listening, diagnosing and experimenting with new ways of working. I like figuring out how teams work best together and navigating the emotional aspects of collaboration, especially when things feel off. I think getting everyone on the same page (alignment) is the hardest part of the job, and the most essential to success.

I specialize in nurturing teams, individuals, and design practices for positive impact. My expertise includes design operations, coaching & mentoring, strategy definition, resource planning, visual storytelling, and stakeholder management.

My Product Leadership Experience

In my previous role as Senior Product Design Manager at Etsy, I co-led the Fulfillment Group with my Product and Engineering partners. Our group was comprised of seven squads, split across two initiatives. I oversaw a team of 8 designers and 1 manager responsible for the order management & shipping & inventory platform for seller merchants, as well as some buyer experience elements of orders.

My responsibilities were focused in 4 main areas:

  • 30%: Cross-functional leadership – where I delivered high-impact initiatives aligned with company objectives. This involved providing design direction, prioritizing projects, and developing our annual strategy in collaboration with Product & Engineering partners. I also fostered collaborative connections across adjacent teams, resolved resourcing and performance issues that came up, and ensured the team’s alignment with our organization’s vision and business goals.
  • 20%: Stakeholder alignment and collaboration – where I was facilitating conversations and gathering feedback to ensure alignment with our executive team and partners on cross-company initiatives.
  • 30%: Team management and coaching – where I focused on improving team processes such as critiques and sprints. I dedicated significant energy to building a supportive team culture and keeping each member engaged and supported.
  • 20%: Design operations – where I was also responsible for contribution to design org operations and devoted my time to collaborating with our recruiter partner to develop hiring best practices and creating an orientation program for new hires which ultimately expanded to serve as the template for the entire product organization.
